Para Para 125mg/5ml Syrup is given orally preferably at a fixed time every day. Though this medicine can be taken before or after food, it is best given after food as it can irritate the inner lining of an empty stomach. The dose and duration will depend upon your child’s age, body weight, and severity of the infection, so stick to the dose, time, and way prescribed by your child’s doctor. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, let the child calm down and repeat the same dose. Redosing is not recommended if your child gets sick more than 30 minutes after taking a dose.
Para Tablet works by inhibiting the formation of certain chemicals (prostaglandins) in the body responsible for fever and pain. It acts on the area of the brain which is responsible for controlling te.

Cholestyramine: Reduces absorption of paracetamol. Charcoal: Activated, administered immediately reduces absorption of paracetamol. Domperidone and metochlopramide: Enhance absorption of paracetamol. Alcohol: Chronic excessive ingestion of alcohol potentiates hepatotoxicity of paracetamol. Zidovudine: Effects zidovudine may be decreased.
Adult: 500 - 1000 mg in 3 times daily Maximum dose: 4 g / day For migraine: 500 mg to be taken at the first sign of migraine attack and repeated 4 - 6 hourly until suppress mild attacks. Children: 60 mg / kg body weight /day in 4 divided doses.
Store at 15-30 degree C in a tightly closed container. Protect from heat and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
Q. What if I vomit after taking 1000 Para Tablet?
If you vomit in less than 30 minutes after having a dose of 1000 Para Tablet tablets or syrup, retake the same dose again. If you vomit after 30 minutes of a dose, you do not need to take another one until the next standard dose.
Q. When will I feel better after taking the 1000 Para Tablet?
Usually, you will start feeling better after about half an hour of taking a 1000 Para Tablet.
Q. How often can I take the 1000 Para Tablet?
You should only take four doses of 1000 Para Tablet in 24 hours. There should be a gap of at least 4 hours between two doses. Do not take 1000 Para Tablet for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor first.

No, 1000 Para Tablet does not make babies sleepy. It is a pain-relieving medicine that is also used to control high fever.
