4 Quin DX Eye Drop is to be used only in the affected eye in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. It is advised to check the label for directions before use. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.
4 Quin DX Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines: Moxifloxacin and Dexamethasone. Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic which prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria. This treats your eye infection.
Moxifloxacin is metabolized to an N-sulfate conjugate and an acyl glucuronide in humans. The N-sulfate and the unchanged moxifloxacin are detected in plasma, urine and feces. The acyl-glucuronide is detected in plasma and urine, but not in feces,The dose dependency of the pharmacokinetics of dexamethasone and its influence on the endogenous secretion of cortisol has been studied in healthy females. The maximum plasma level occurred between 1.6 and 2.0 h after doses of 0.5-3.0 mg independent of the type of administration.

Moxifloxacin and Dexamethasone eye drops is indicated for steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions for which a corticosteroid is indicated and where bacterial infection or a risk of bacterial ocular infection exists.
Drug-Disease interactions: 4 QUIN DX DROPS should not be used in patients with fungal infections, viral infections such as herpes simplex or varicella, or parasitic infections such as amoebiasis, tuberculosis, damaged cornea, ulceration, and glaucoma (increased pressure inside the eye).
Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it.

If you miss a dose of 4 Quin DX Eye Drop, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
