A Cort 0.5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. It should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will decide the dose and how often you should take them. You should take this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not stop taking the medicine even if you feel better unless the doctor tells you so.
Betamethasone works by binding to steroid receptors present in the cells, activating natural substances in the skin to reduce swelling, redness and itching.
Using the medicine may cause few common side effects such as a reduction in bone density and an upset stomach. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects bother you. If this medicine is used for a long time, you may have to get regular tests to check your bone density.

This medicine is given orally (by mouth). You should always take it as it has been prescribed for you. Do not stop taking it without your doctor’s advice. This can cause unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Because this medicine weakens your immune system, you should avoid being near people who are ill or have infections.
A Cort 0.5mg Tablet is used to treat many different inflammatories and allergic conditions including arthritis, lupus, psoriasis, ulcerative colitis, and conditions that affect the skin, blood, eyes, lungs, stomach, and nervous system. It works by lowering your immune system’s response to these conditions and prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. It helps relieve symptoms such as swelling, pain, itching, and other allergic-type reactions. If you are not sure why you are being given this medicine, ask your doctor.
Oral: Starts with 10mg once daily; Increased if required based on patients response. Maximum dose: 80mg
Store at room temperature at a range of 15 to 25 degree C.
If you miss a dose of A Cort 0.5mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Never take more than the prescribed dose of Abec-L Tablet. Seek emergency medical treatment in case of an overdose of this medicine.
A Cort 0.5 MG Tablet shows some side effects such as a headache, nausea, shortness of breath, weight gain, and stomach upset. These side effects subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms bother you or worsen. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. A Cort 0.5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Avoid A Cort 0.5mg Tablet with dietary sodium.
