Give A Mox 125mg Dry Syrup either with or without food but it is best to give it with food if it upsets your child’s stomach. It is generally given two to three times a day. Stick to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor as these depend on the severity of the infection, its type, and your child’s body weight and age. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, repeat the dose when your child feels better. However, do not double the dose if it is the time for the next dose.
MOX 125MG DRY SYRUP 30ML kills the bacterial cell by blocking the chemical (mucopeptides) released by the outer layer (cell wall) of the bacteria. In turn, MOX 125MG DRY SYRUP 30ML weakens and destroys the bacterial cell wall. It is a broad range of antibiotic that helps in fighting various types of bacteria.
Amoxicillin is 61.3 minutes. Approximately 60% of an orally administered dose of amoxicillin is excreted in the urine within 6 to 8 hours. Detectable serum levels are observed up to 8 hours after an orally administered dose of amoxicillin.
A Mox 125mg Dry Syrup does not pose serious side effects and is well-tolerated by children. In case the side effects do occur, they’re likely to subside once the body adapts to the medicine. Taking MOX 125MG DRY SYRUP 30ML may cause antibiotic-induced diarrhoea in some cases. Penicillin antibiotics, blood thinners (warfarin, coumadin), uric acid-lowering drug (allopurinol, probenecid), and anti-cancer or anti-arthritis drug (methotrexate) may severely interact with MOX 125MG DRY SYRUP 30ML.

Unless your child’s doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, you can give the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it’s almost time for the next dose. Do not give a double dose to catch up and follow the prescribed dosing schedule.

Complete the entire course of antibiotics without stopping the medicine in between. Doing so may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection.

Therefore, do not alter the dose and duration on your own and give A Mox 125mg Dry Syrup to your child exactly as prescribed. Additionally, irregular treatment, repeated use, and misuse of A Mox 125mg Dry Syrup can make the bacteria resistant.

Although rare, A Mox 125mg Dry Syrup may cause some serious side effects such as persistent vomiting, kidney damage, allergy, diarrhea, and severe gastrointestinal infections. Always consult your child’s doctor for help in such a situation.

A Mox 125mg Dry Syrup can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Tell your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting A Mox 125mg Dry Syrup. Also, check with your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.
Q. Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with A Mox 125mg Dry Syrup?
Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.
Q. The mucus coming out of my child’s nose is yellow-green. Is it a sign of a bacterial infection?
In the common cold, the mucus changes its color and thickens up with time, but this does not mean that your child needs antibiotics. Common cold symptoms often last for 7-10 days. In case they fail to clear up within this duration, reach out to your child’s doctor for guidance.

No, do not give this medicine to your child in this case as a high percentage of children with infectious mononucleosis develop a skin rash (erythematous rash) while taking A Mox 125mg Dry Syrup.
