You can take A2 5 mg/10 mg Tablet at any time of day, with or without food, but it is best to take it at the same time each day. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own because high blood pressure often has no symptoms. If you stop taking it, your condition may get worse. Keeping active with regular exercise, reducing your weight and eating a healthy diet will also help control your blood pressure. Follow your doctor’s advice while taking this medicine.
A2 5 mg/10 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amlodipine and atorvastatin which treat high blood pressure associated with high cholesterol levels. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). It works by relaxing blood vessels which makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.
Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium antagonist drug with distinctive pharmacokinetic characteristics which appear to be attributable to a high degree of ionisation. Following oral administration, bioavailability is 60 to 65% and plasma concentrations rise gradually to peak 6 to 8h after administration,Atorvastatin acid is extensively metabolised in both the gut and liver by oxidation, lactonisation and glucuronidation, and the metabolites are eliminated by biliary secretion and direct secretion from blood to the intestine.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

A2 5 mg/10 mg Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with A2 5 mg/10 mg Tablet.
A2 5 mg/10 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
A2 5 mg/10 mg Tablet is a combination of a calcium channel blocker and HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin). Amlodipine is used alone or together with other medicines to treat angina (chest pain) or high blood pressure.
A2 5 mg/10 mg Tablet may increase the blood levels of atorvastatin. This can increase the risk of side effects such as liver damage and a rare but serious condition called rhabdomyolysis that involves the breakdown of skeletal muscle tissue.
Do not chew, crush or break it. A2 5 mg/10 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of A2 5 mg/10 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Take it at same time every day to maintain the consistent level of drug in the body.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
It can make you feel dizzy for the first few days. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how A2 5 mg/10 mg Tablet affects you.
Your doctor may check your liver function before starting the treatment and regularly thereafter. Inform your doctor if you notice signs of liver problems such as stomach pains, unusually dark urine or yellowing of skin or eyes.
Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease or diabetes before starting treatment with this medicine. If you are diabetic, monitor your blood sugar level regularly as A2 5 mg/10 mg Tablet may cause an increase in your blood sugar level.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. A2 5 mg/10 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
