Zinc: It is essential for immune function, wound healing, blood clotting, thyroid function, proper vision and for proper growth and development during childhood, adolescence and pregnancy. It is also required for proper sense of taste and smell
Abez Cap contains Iron, Folic acid, Cyanocobalamin, and Zinc Sulfate. Iron helps in the transportation of oxygen throughout the body and the production of red blood cells. Folic acid is necessary for various bodily functions, such as nucleotide biosynthesis and remethylation of homocysteine.
Folic acid appears in the plasma approximately 15 to 30 minutes after an oral dose; peak levels are generally reached within 1 hour. After intravenous administration, the drug is rapidly cleared from the plasma. Cerebrospinal fluid levels of folic acid are several times greater than serum levels of the drug,Pharmacokinetics. Methylcobalamin can be administered orally, parenterally and intranasal. Methylcobalamin binds with an intrinsic factor and form a complex which is absorbed in distal ileum. Its half life is 6 days,Homeostasis of Zinc is thought to depend on absorption as well as excretion. Studies have shown that the Zinc ingested by healthy persons are eliminated in the feces (90%) and in urine (2–10%). Zinc is primarily absorbed from small intestine, duodenum and ileum.
