ABfol Tablet is a supplement of folate which is also known as folic acid. It is used to treat or prevent the low levels of folate in the body. Folate plays an essential role in the production of red blood cells, and its deficiency can lead to anemia. Take it in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor.
L-methylfolate is the only folate form that is capable of passing the blood-brain barrier, a border created by endothelial cells that allows nutrients into the brain. Once it crosses this barrier, l-methylfolate participates in the production of the neurotransmitters serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
