It works by inhibiting the enzyme xanthine oxidase (enzyme help your body to make the uric acid), thereby reducing the level of uric acid that is made in your body. Thus, it reduces the inflammation caused by uric acid crystals in affected joints, thereby reducing pain swelling and inflammation.
Pharmacokinetics. Febuxostat is rapidly absorbed after oral administration, with peak plasma concentrations occurring in 0.5–1.3 hours. After multiple oral 40- and 80-mg once-daily doses of febuxostat, the mean ± S.D.

Febustat 40 tablet is used to treat a condition called gout, where the level of a chemical substance called uric acid, which is urate in the body increases. It is also used for the treatment of hyperuricaemia (high uric acid levels in the blood).
There are 4 disease interactions with febuxostat which include:
secondary hyperuricemia.
CV disease.
renal dysfunction.
hepatic impairment.
Take this medicine according to the dose and frequency as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break the medicine. It may be taken with or without food.
Store at room temperature. Protect from heat and light. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not refrigerate the solution.

Can the use of Ofloxacin increase the risk of muscle damage? Yes, use of Ofloxacin is known to increase the risk of muscle damage, commonly in the ankle (achilies tendon). Muscle damage can happen in people of all ages who take Ofloxacin. Inform your doctor if you feel any kind of muscle pain while using this medicine.
