Accuzon 250 Injection may also be used to prevent infections during surgery. It is given as a drip (intravenous infusion) or as an injection directly into a vein or a muscle under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Your doctor will decide the correct dose for you. This medicine will be given to you regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the returning or worsening of infection.
ACCUZON 250MG INJECTION belongs to the group of antibiotic medicines called 'Cephalosporin' which is used to treat various bacterial infections of the brain, lungs, middle ear, abdomen, urinary tract, kidneys, bones, joints, skin, soft tissues, blood, heart, chest, lime disease (caused by tick bites), and gonorrhoea.
Pharmacokinetics. Absorption: Ceftriaxone can be administered intravenously and intramuscularly, and the drug is completely absorbed. It is not available orally. Distribution: Ceftriaxone penetrates tissues and body fluids well, including cerebrospinal fluid to treat central nervous system infections.

Ceftriaxone is contraindicated in neonates (≤ 28 days) if they require (or are expected to require) treatment with calcium-containing intravenous solutions, including continuous calcium-containing infusions such as parenteral nutrition, because of the risk of precipitation of ceftriaxone-calcium.
Accuzon 250 Injection is safe to use during pregnancy. Most studies have shown low or no risk to the developing baby.
Consuming alcohol with Accuzon 250 Injection does not cause any harmful side effects.
Accuzon 250 Injection should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.

Susceptible bacterial infections of the lower respiratory tract, skin and skin structure, bone and joint, acute otitis media, UTIs, septicemia, pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), intraabdominal infections, meningitis, uncomplicated gonorrhea. Surgical prophylaxis.
Ceftriaxone has no known severe interactions with other drugs. Severe interactions of ceftriaxone include: calcium acetate.
Serious interactions of ceftriaxone include:
argatroban.
BCG vaccine live.
bivalirudin.
cholera vaccine.
dalteparin.
enoxaparin.
fondaparinux.
heparin.
