Acenac-MR 8mg/100mg/325mg Tablet should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. The dose and duration will depend on the severity of your condition. You should keep taking the medicine even if you feel better until the doctor says it is alright to stop using it.
Acenac-MR 8mg/100mg/325mg Tablet is a combination medicine that helps in relieving muscular pain. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain, inflammation, and fever. This improves the movement of muscles and provides relief from pain and discomfort.
Pharmacokinetics of TC following infusion of 4 mg in two subjects revealed a moderate distribution (Vss from 31 to 35 L) and mainly extrarenal elimination (75% of the total body clearance). Terminal half-lives ranged from 2.4 to 2.7 h in plasma and from 3.2 to 3.7 h in urine.
Aceclofenac is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme cyclo-oxygenase, which is involved in the production of prostaglandins. After oral administration, aceclofenac is rapidly and completely absorbed as unchanged drug. Peak plasma concentrations are reached approximately 1.25 to 3.00 hours following ingestion.
Paracetamol is readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract with peak plasma concentrations occurring about 30 minutes to 2 hours after ingestion. It is metabolised in the liver (90-95%) and excreted in the urine mainly as the glucuronide and sulphate conjugates. Less than 5% is excreted as unchanged paracetamol.

Acenac-MR Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Thiocolchicoside) and two pain relievers (Aceclofenac, Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and improve movement of muscles.
Drug-Disease Interactions: Acenac-MR Tablet 10's may have interactions with stomach ulcer or perforation, bleeding problems, bypass surgery, heart attack, blood circulation problems, inflammation of intestines anaemia, heart, kidney and liver problems.
Do not chew, crush or break it. Acenac-MR 8mg/100mg/325mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

If you miss a dose of Acenac-MR 8mg/100mg/325mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Older adults may have increased drowsiness, confusion, and higher risk of falling as a result of taking Acenac-MR 8mg/100mg/325mg Tablet.
Do not take it with any other medicine containing acetaminophen (drugs for pain/fever or cough-and-cold) without asking your doctor first.

It should also be avoided in patients with a history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.

Yes, Acenac-MR 8mg/100mg/325mg Tablet can be taken with vitamin B-complex preparations. While Acenac-MR 8mg/100mg/325mg Tablet helps to relieve pain, vitamin B-complex can help to correct the vitamin deficiency that might be causing your symptoms.
Q. Can the use of Acenac-MR 8mg/100mg/325mg Tablet cause damage to kidneys?
Yes, the long-term use of Acenac-MR 8mg/100mg/325mg Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects them from damage. Use of painkillers lowers the levels of prostaglandins in the body leading to kidney damage on long-term use. Use of painkillers is not recommended to patients with underlying kidney disease.

No, taking more of this medicine will not make it more effective, rather it can lead to increased side effects. If the symptoms are getting severe, please consult the doctor for re-evaluation.

Acenac-MR 8mg/100mg/325mg Tablet contains Paracetamol. These medicines are known to cause harm to the liver especially in the doses above the recommended level. Also, avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine, as it may further increase your risk of liver damage. Use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with underlying liver disease. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice any early signs and symptoms of liver damage. These symptoms may include fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes and abnormal liver enzymes.
