Aceron MR 100 mg/8 mg Tablet should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor.
Aceron MR 100 mg/8 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Aceclofenac and Thiocolchicoside. This medication helps in relieving muscle pain. It relaxes the muscles by acting on the central nervous system and lowering chemical substance in the body that cause pain and inflammation.
Aceclofenac is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme cyclo-oxygenase, which is involved in the production of prostaglandins. After oral administration, aceclofenac is rapidly and completely absorbed as unchanged drug. Peak plasma concentrations are reached approximately 1.25 to 3.00 hours following ingestion.
Pharmacokinetics of TC following infusion of 4 mg in two subjects revealed a moderate distribution (Vss from 31 to 35 L) and mainly extrarenal elimination (75% of the total body clearance). Terminal half-lives ranged from 2.4 to 2.7 h in plasma and from 3.2 to 3.7 h in urine.

ACECLOFENAC+THIOCOLCHICOSIDE is a combination medication used to reduce and relieve pain due to muscle spasms (painful muscular contractions) associated with degenerative vertebral disorders, vertebral static problems, dorsal pain, low back pain, and torticollis (neck muscle contractions).
Drug-Drug Interaction: ACECLOFENAC+THIOCOLCHICOSIDE may have interaction with medicines used to lower high blood pressure (lisinopril, enalapril, candesartan, losartan, clonidine, moxonidine, hydralazine, methyldopa, propranolol), antibiotics (ciprofloxacin, moxifloxacin, ofloxacin, levofloxacin), water pills.
Do not chew, crush or break it. Aceron MR 100 mg/8 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

If you miss a dose of Aceron MR 100 mg/8 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

The use of Aceron MR 100 mg/8 mg Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to painkillers or any of the components or excipients of this medicine. The use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of stomach ulcer or in patients with active, recurrent stomach ulcer/bleeding. It should also be avoided in patients with history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.

Yes, the long-term use of Aceron MR 100 mg/8 mg Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects them from damage. Use of painkillers lower the levels of prostaglandins in the body which leads to kidney damage on long-term use. Use of painkillers is not recommended in patients with underlying kidney disease.
