Achhazi 100mg Tablet DT works by inhibiting the growth of the infection-causing bacteria and stopping it from multiplying. As a result of this, the spread of the infection is disabled. Achhazi 100mg Tablet DT is usually given once a day, preferably in the morning. However, in the case of typhoid, it is to be given twice. Give it with or without food at about the same time each day. However, it is best given with food since children often have a sensitive stomach and could easily get a stomach upset.
Azithromycin binds to the 23S rRNA of the bacterial 50S ribosomal subunit. It stops bacterial protein synthesis by inhibiting the transpeptidation/translocation step of protein synthesis and by inhibiting the assembly of the 50S ribosomal subunit Label, 5.
The bioavailability of azithromycin is approximately 37%. Concomitant administration of oral azithromycin with food significantly decreases by 50% drug bioavailability. Following a single oral 500 mg dose, peak plasma concentrations of about 0.35-0.45 mg/l are attained within approximately 2 hours.
