Aciraze D 10 mg/20 mg Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (Acid reflux) and peptic ulcer disease by relieving the symptoms of acidity such as heartburn, stomach pain, or irritation. It also neutralizes the acid and promotes easy passage of gas to reduce stomach discomfort.
The absolute bioavailability of domperidone is low (13–17% or approximately 15%). This is due to extensive first-pass metabolism in the intestines and liver. Conversely, its bioavailability is high via intramuscular injection (90%). The onset of action of domperidone taken orally is about 30 to 60 minutes.
The pharmacokinetics of rabeprazole are characterized by high and consistent bioavailability, dose proportionality, extensive hepatic metabolism, and primarily urinary excretion of these metabolites. In addition, rabeprazole does not accumulate with repeated dosing.
