Basic Information

Mechanism Of Action

Acto Pred 1gm Injection works by suppressing the immune system thereby reducing inflammation and swelling that occur in nephrotic syndrome. It reduces the protein in the urine and also helps in getting rid of the extra fluid, thereby relieving the swelling over different parts of the body.

Pharmacokinets

In humans, the pharmacokinetics of prednisolone is complex. After oral intake, it exhibits rapid absorption and becomes almost completely (80%-100%) available. Peak plasma concentrations reach 1 to 2 hours after oral administration. Distribution of prednisolone is dependent on its protein-binding properties.
