Aculanz 7.5mg Tablet MD may be taken with or without food. However, it is advised to take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. This medication mustn't be stopped suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may worsen your symptoms.
Aculanz 7.5mg Tablet MD contains 'Olanzapine' that works by restoring the balance of chemical messengers (dopamine and serotonin) in the brain and improves thinking mood, and behaviour. ACULANZ MD 5MG TABLET helps in clear thinking and decreases hallucinations.
The pharmacokinetics of olanzapine are linear and dose-proportional within the approved dosage range. Its mean half-life in healthy individuals was 33 hours, ranging from 21 to 54 hours. The mean apparent plasma clearance was 26 L/h, ranging from 12 to 47 L/h.

If you miss a dose of Aculanz 7.5mg Tablet MD, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

No, Aculanz 7.5mg Tablet MD is not a sleeping pill. It belongs to the atypical antipsychotic class of medicines. It is used to treat schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a mental illness that causes disturbed or unusual thinking, loss of interest in life, and strong or inappropriate emotions. Aculanz 7.5mg Tablet MD also helps with bipolar disorder (manic depressive disorder). It is a disease that causes episodes of depression, mania, and other abnormal moods.

Aculanz 7.5mg Tablet MD may start showing initial improvement within 1-2 week of starting. However, for full benefits it may take about 4-6 weeks. You should continue taking it and consult your doctor in case you feel that Aculanz 7.5mg Tablet MD is not helping you.

Aculanz 7.5mg Tablet MD can cause serious side effects which include increased risk of death in elderly people who are confused, have memory loss and have lost touch with reality (dementia-related psychosis). It is important to know that it may increase blood sugar levels in diabetics and also in patients who never had diabetes. Furthermore, it may cause weight gain and high fat levels in the blood which is more common in teenagers.

Aculanz 7.5mg Tablet MD should be avoided during pregnancy and should only be given if benefits outweigh the risk. Using Aculanz 7.5mg Tablet MD during last 3 months of pregnancy may cause unwanted symptoms in the unborn baby. These symptoms include shaking, muscle stiffness and/or weakness, sleepiness, agitation, breathing problems, and difficulty in feeding.
Q. Can I stop taking Aculanz 7.5mg Tablet MD if I am better?
You should not stop taking Aculanz 7.5mg Tablet MD without consulting your doctor. This is because sudden discontinuation of the medicine may cause unpleasant side effects which include sweating, unable to sleep, tremor, anxiety or nausea, and vomiting. To avoid such effects, your doctor will reduce the dose gradually before stopping the treatment.

Yes, smoking interferes with working of Aculanz 7.5mg Tablet MD causing an increase in its metabolism. One should avoid alcohol while taking Aculanz 7.5mg Tablet MD since it may cause more drowsiness. However, if you are a smoker then your doctor may increase your dose depending on your response to treatment.
