AF 50 Tablet DT should be taken in the dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. It should be swallowed whole and can be taken with or without food. AF 50MG TABLET contains 'fluconazole' that kills or prevents fungi or yeast by inhibiting an enzyme in fungi responsible for its normal fat metabolism, which interferes with the formation of the fungal cell membrane. As a result, fungal or yeast cells get killed or its growth is minimized.

The pharmacokinetics of fluconazole are similar following intravenous and oral dosing. Oral bioavailability is >90070, and concentrations peak rv2 hours after dosing. The apparent volume of distribu- tion is 0.7 L/kg, and plasma protein binding is low (12070).
