Basic Information

Mechanism Of Action

Agivog M 500mg/0.2mg Tablet is a medicine that helps to control high blood glucose (sugar) levels. It helps to slow down the breaking down of food in our intestine to simple glucose (sugar), thereby decreasing the rise in blood glucose levels after meals.

Pharmacokinets

Pharmacokinetics. Metformin has an oral bioavailability of 50–60% under fasting conditions, and is absorbed slowly. Peak plasma concentrations (Cmax) are reached within 1–3 hours of taking immediate-release metformin and 4–8 hours with extended-release formulations.

voglibose is poorly absorbed after oral administration. However, systematic adverse effects have been observed. Metabolism: the metabolism of voglibose in liver is negligible. Excretion: The renal excretion is negligible and plasma concentations after oral dose have been undetectable.
