Ajaduo 25/5Mg tablet works by blocking sodium glucose co-transporter protein in the kidneys which helps in eliminating blood glucose through urine thereby controlling blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetic patients.
Empagliflozin is an orally active, potent and selective inhibitor of sodium glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2), currently in clinical development to improve glycaemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
The pharmacokinetics of linagliptin has been extensively characterised in healthy subjects and patients with type 2 diabetes. After oral administration of a 5 mg dose to healthy volunteers or patients, linagliptin was rapidly absorbed, with peak plasma concentrations (median Tmax) occurring 1.5 hours post-dose.
