Exogenously administered albumin increases the oncotic pressure of the intravascular system, pulling fluids from the interstitial space, thereby decreasing edema and increasing the circulating blood volume.
The catabolism of amino acids, except those with branched chains, starts in the liver. The amine group is separated and incorporated into urea. The carbon skeletons can be oxidized to CO2 and H2O or used for gluconeogenesis and ketogenesis.

Amino Acid is contraindicated in patients with anuria, inborn errors of amino acid metabolism, especially those involving branched chain amino acid metabolism such as Maple Syrup Urine Disease and Isovaleric Acidemia, or hypersensitivity to one or more amino acids present in the solution.

Albumed Infusion should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
