Alcetam 400mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. It is advised to take this medicine at the same time each day to maintain a consistent level in the blood. If you miss any doses, take it as soon as you remember. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication mustn't be stopped without talking to your doctor as it may result in twitching or jerking movements and even relapse of the disease may occur.

Alcetam 400 MG Tablet works by increasing the level of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that plays an important role in brain and muscle functioning.

Pharmacokinets

Piracetam is predominantly excreted via renal elimination, where about 80-100% of the total dose is recovered in the urine. Approximately 90% of the dose of piracetam is excreted in the urine as unchanged drug 4. The plasma half life of piracetam is approximately 5 hours following oral or intravenous administration.
