Aldryl Soft Gelatin Capsule is best taken before a meal or at bedtime. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. Take it for as long as it is prescribed for you. In case, you have missed any doses, take the next dose as soon as you remember it. However, you should never take a double dose. Dizziness and drowsiness are the most common side effect of this medicine. Avoid driving or attention-seeking activities while on treatment with this medicine. In some cases, it may cause also dryness of mouth. To prevent dry mouth, drink more water and maintain good oral hygiene.

Pharmacokinets

Pharmacokinetics. Oral bioavailability of diphenhydramine is in the range of 40% to 60%, and peak plasma concentration occurs about 2 to 3 hours after administration. The primary route of metabolism is two successive demethylations of the tertiary amine.
