This medicine has minimal or no side effects. If you experience nausea, vomiting or any other symptoms which you think are because of this medicine, please consult your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or suffering from any other disease.
In addition to bactericidal activity, some antiseptics – such as amylmetacresol (AMC) and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol (DCBA) – have been shown to have antiviral effects in vitro12,13 and anesthetic-like effects14 with established benefits in providing symptomatic relief of pain.
Dichlorobenzyl alcohol is released almost immediately from its formulation and reaches peak concentration after 3-4 minutes. The concentration in saliva after 120 minutes represents about 50% of the administered dose. This pharmacokinetic property has not been fully studied.

Dichlorobenzyl Alcohol+Amylmetacresol is used in the treatment of sore throat. Dichlorobenzyl Alcohol + Amylmetacresol is a combination of two medicines: Dichlorobenzyl Alcohol and Amylmetacresol which treat sore throat. These are mild antiseptics that kill the bacteria associated with throat infections.
Pharmacology. Dichlorobenzyl alcohol in combination with Amylmetacresol is available in over-the-counter products used for symptomatic relief of acute sore throat and postoperative sore throat. Build, train, & validate predictive machine-learning models with structured datasets.
Do not chew or swallow. It may take sometime to dissolve. Alkof Cough Lozenges Menthol may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
If you miss a dose of Alkof Cough Lozenges Menthol, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Alkof Cough Lozenges Menthol should be taken after every 2 to 3 hours or as suggested by the doctor. Suck one lozenge slowly as required.
Do not take it for more than 3 days. Consult your doctor if you do not observe any improvement in symptoms.
Do not take more than 8 lozenges in 24 hours.
Each lozenge contains sugar. This should be taken into account if you have diabetes mellitus.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not handle the tablets with wet hands. Place it in your mouth and allow it to dissolve slowly. Do not chew or swallow.
