Almefkem 250mg Tablet is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and inflammation (redness and swelling)
Elimination. Mefenamic acid is metabolized by cytochrome P450 enzyme CYP2C9 to 3-hydroxymethyl mefenamic acid (Metabolite I). Further oxidation to a 3-carboxymefenamic acid (Metabolite II) may occur. The activity of these metabolites has not been studied.
Almefkem 250mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Almefkem 250mg Tablet is used in the treatment of moderate to severe pain conditions like menstrual pain, headache, muscle pain, joint pain, or dental pain. It effectively alleviates pain and inflammation
Some products that may interact with this drug include: aliskiren, ACE inhibitors (such as captopril, lisinopril), angiotensin II receptor blockers (such as valsartan, losartan), cidofovir, corticosteroids (such as prednisone), fluconazole, ketorolac, lithium, methotrexate, "water pills" (diuretics such as furosemide).
Do not chew, crush or break it. Almefkem 250mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Almefkem 250mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
