CETRIMIDE+LINDANE is used to relieve the pain, discomfort and itchiness caused by skin infections such as scabies. Lindane shows insecticidal (insect-killing) properties. It exerts a neurotoxic effect on the nerve cells of the causative organism and causes paralysis and death of the insect and its eggs.

Lindane is a scabicide that is essentially an organochloride insecticide. Lindane is an organochloride insecticide that has similar neurotoxic protperties to DDT. It exerts its parasiticidal action by being directly absorbed through the parasite's exoskeleton (primarily lice, or scabies) and their ova.

Drug-Disease Interactions: CETRIMIDE+LINDANE should be used with caution in patients with a known hypersensitivity disorder, liver disease, epilepsy, seizure disorder, cancer, HIV/AIDS, crusted scabies, psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.

Lindane+Cetrimide is used in the treatment of scabies. Lindane + Cetrimide is a combination of two medicines: Lindane and Cetrimide. It works kills microorganisms that cause scabies. It is also potent in paralyzing and killing the lice and their eggs.
In rare cases, lindane has caused seizures and death. Most patients who experienced these severe side effects used too much lindane or used lindane too often or for too long, but a few patients experienced these problems even though they used lindane according to the directions.

If you miss a dose of Alscab Lotion, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Alscab Lotion is prescribed for the treatment of scabies (a condition where tiny insects infest and irritate your skin).
Apply a thin layer of this medicine all over the body and leave it for 8-14 hours before taking a bath or shower.
Avoid getting it in your eyes, nose, or mouth. If this happens, rinse with water immediately.
You will still be itchy for a while after successful treatment. If the itching becomes troublesome to you, consult your doctor to ease this. Moisturizing creams can provide temporary relief from itching.
Clothes, towels, and bed linen should be machine-washed with hot water after the first application of treatment. This helps kills the scabies mites.
