Alucaine Suspension is taken without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. Do not take it for more than the recommended duration as long-term administration may have harmful effects on the health.Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. You should also tell your doctor if you have any liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you.
Alucaine Suspension is a combination medicine used in the treatment of acidity, stomach ulcer and heartburn. It helps in relieving the symptoms of acidity and ulcers such as stomach pain or irritation. It also neutralizes excessive acid in the stomach and helps in easy passage of gas.
Oxetacaine is rapidly and extensively metabolized hepatically. After metabolism, there is a formation of primary metabolites such as beta-hydroxy-mephentermine and beta-hydroxy-phentermine. The major metabolites are found in the plasma in insignificant amounts.
Aluminum hydroxide is a basic inorganic salt that acts by neutralizing hydrochloric acid in gastric secretions. Aluminum hydroxide is slowly solubilized in the stomach and reacts with hydrochloric acid to form aluminum chloride and water. It also inhibits the action of pepsin by increasing the pH and via adsorption.
The pharmacokinetic profile of magnesium sulfate after intravenous administration can be described by a two-compartment model with a rapid distribution (α) phase, followed by a relative slow β phase of elimination. The clinical effect and toxicity of magnesium sulfate can be linked to its concentration in plasma.

Oxetacaine+Aluminium Hydroxide+Magnesium is used in the treatment of acidity, heartburn and stomach ulcers. Oxetacaine + Aluminium Hydroxide + Magnesium is a combination of a local anesthetic (Oxetacaine ) and two antacids ( Aluminium Hydroxide and Magnesium).
Avoid alcohol intake as it leads to increased production of stomach acid, thereby increases acidity and heartburn. Drug-Disease Interactions: ALUMINIUM HYDROXIDE+MAGNESIUM HYDROXIDE+OXETACAINE may interact with constipation, inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal obstruction disorder, and renal dysfunction.

If you miss a dose of Alucaine Suspension, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Do not take Alucaine Suspension at least 2 hours before or after taking other medicines as it may interact with other medicines.
Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve within 2 weeks of taking this medicine.
Avoid drinking anything immediately after taking Alucaine Suspension to prevent Alucaine Suspension being washed away before its local anesthetic action on the site.
Incorporate the following lifestyle changes in order to prevent acidity:
Make sure you eat regular meals and drink plenty of water.
Avoid spicy and fatty fried food.
Lose weight if you are obese.
If you are a smoker, consider giving up.
Don't drink too much alcohol.
Do not go to bed immediately after taking a meal. Sit in a relaxed position for sometimes for better digestion.
