Alzolid 600mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, preferably at a fixed time. You should take it regularly as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you to remember to take it. Do not stop taking it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better. If you stop taking this medicine too early then infection may return or worsen.

Alzolid 600mg Tablet works by killing bacteria which can cause serious infections. It is used to treat many different types of bacterial infections such as infections of lungs (pneumonia), skin, and soft tissues.

Pharmacokinets

The elimination half-life of linezolid is 5-7 hours, and twice-daily administration of 400-600 mg provides steady-state concentrations in the therapeutic range. Linezolid is mainly cleared by non-renal clearance to two metabolites and renal clearance of the parent compound.

Indications

Linezolid is indicated in adults for the treatment of complicated skin and soft tissue infections only when microbiological testing has established that the infection is known to be caused by susceptible Gram positive bacteria. Linezolid is not active against infections caused by Gram negative pathogens.

Effects Of Missed Dosage

If you miss a dose of Alzolid 600mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
