Amide 400 Tablet may be taken with or without food, preferably before bedtime. However, it is advised to take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may worsen your symptoms.

Mechanism Of Action

Amide 400 Tablet is an atypical antipsychotic. It works by modulating the action of certain chemical messengers in the brain that affect thoughts.

Pharmacokinets

Amisulpride shows linear pharmacokinetics, a bioavailability of 48%, low protein binding (17%) and an elimination half-life of approximately 12 h. It is predominantly eliminated in the urine as the parent compound.

Indications

Amide 400 Tablet are indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic schizophrenic disorders, in which positive symptoms (such as delusions, hallucinations, thought disorders) and/or negative symptoms (such as blunted affect, emotional and social withdrawal) are prominent

Interactions

Aripiprazole lauroxil Aripiprazole lauroxil may increase the antipsychotic activities of Amisulpride.

Arsenic trioxide The risk or severity of QTc prolongation can be increased when Amisulpride is combined with Arsenic trioxide.
