It is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that fights and stops the growth of many types of bacteria. This medicine is best taken with a meal to reduce the chance of a stomach upset. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you to remember to take it.
Amolax Capsule is a combination of three medicines: Amoxycillin, Cloxacillin, and Lactobacillus. Amoxycillin and Cloxacillin are antibiotics which work by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering that is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body.
Amoxicillin is 61.3 minutes. Approximately 60% of an orally administered dose of amoxicillin is excreted in the urine within 6 to 8 hours. Detectable serum levels are observed up to 8 hours after an orally administered dose of amoxicillin.

Amodux Capsule is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Amodux Capsule is used to prevent and treat different types of bacterial infections like chest infection (pneumonia, bronchitis), ear/nose/throat (ENT) infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, leg ulcers, gum ulcers, dental infections, and pressure sores.
Major Highly clinically significant. Avoid combinations; the risk of the interaction outweighs the benefit.
Moderate Moderately clinically significant. Usually avoid combinations; use it only under special circumstances.
Minor Minimally clinically significant. Minimize risk; assess risk and consider an alternative drug, take steps to circumvent the interaction risk and/or institute a monitoring plan.
Amodux Capsule may be taken with or without food.

If you miss a dose of Amodux Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Finish the prescribed course, even if you start to feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat.
Diarrhea may occur as a side effect. Taking probiotics along with Amodux Capsule may help. Talk to your doctor if you notice bloody stools or develop abdominal cramps.
Stop taking this medicine and inform your doctor immediately if you develop an itchy rash, swelling of the face, throat or tongue or breathing difficulties while taking it.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Amodux Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Yes, the use of Amodux Capsule can lower the efficacy of birth control pills. Ask your doctor about using some other methods of contraception (such as a condom, diaphragm, spermicide) while you are taking Amodux Capsule.

Yes, the use of Amodux Capsule can cause diarrhea. It is an antibiotic and it kills the harmful bacteria, however, it also affects the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and causes diarrhea. If diarrhea persists, talk to your doctor about it.
Q. How long does Amodux Capsule takes to work?
Usually, Amodux Capsule starts working soon after taking it. However, it may take around 2-3 days to make you feel better while taking Amodux Capsule.
Q. What if I don't get better after using Amodux Capsule?
Inform your doctor if you don't feel better after finishing the full course of treatment. Also, inform if your symptoms are getting worse while using this medicine.
Q. Can I stop taking Amodux Capsule when my symptoms are relieved?
No, do not stop taking Amodux Capsule and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cleared.
