Amolax Capsule is a combination of three medicines: Amoxycillin, Cloxacillin, and Lactobacillus. Amoxycillin and Cloxacillin are antibiotics which work by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering that is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body.

Pharmacokinets

Amoxicillin is 61.3 minutes. Approximately 60% of an orally administered dose of amoxicillin is excreted in the urine within 6 to 8 hours. Detectable serum levels are observed up to 8 hours after an orally administered dose of amoxicillin.

Amodux Capsule is used to prevent and treat different types of bacterial infections like chest infection (pneumonia, bronchitis), ear/nose/throat (ENT) infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, leg ulcers, gum ulcers, dental infections, and pressure sores.

Interactions

Major   Highly clinically significant. Avoid combinations; the risk of the interaction outweighs the benefit.

Moderate  Moderately clinically significant. Usually avoid combinations; use it only under special circumstances.

Minor  Minimally clinically significant. Minimize risk; assess risk and consider an alternative drug, take steps to circumvent the interaction risk and/or institute a monitoring plan.

If you miss a dose of Amodux Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
