Amorolfine present in Amortas Cream acts on the cell membrane of the fungus and alters its structure resulting in the destruction of the cell wall and the death of the fungus.
Amorolfine or amorolfin, is a morpholine antifungal drug that inhibits the fungal enzymes D14 reductase and D7-D8 isomerase. This inhibition affects fungal sterol synthesis pathways, depleting ergosterol and causing ignosterol to accumulate in the fungal cytoplasmic cell membranes.
In conclusion, phenoxyethanol is almost completely absorbed through skin (78% ± 7% for the leave-on products) and metabolized either by the skin or by the liver into its major metabolite 2-phenoxyacetic acid. This metabolite is primarily found in human urine.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Q. How long does it take to clear the nail infection?
Amortas Cream takes a few days or weeks to clear up the infection. Clearing up an infection refers to the improvement of the symptoms of the infection. On the other hand, it may take at least 6 months to cure the fingernail infection and 9-12 months to cure toenails. Curing of the infection takes longer because a nail infection gets cured only after the infected nail is naturally replaced by a new nail.
Q. Can I stop taking Amortas Cream when my symptoms are relieved?
You may notice some improvement in your symptoms, but do not stop taking Amortas Cream before completing the full course of treatment, even if you feel better. However, you must inform your doctor if the infection does not clear up even after 5 days of treatment.
