It can be taken with or without food, but it must be taken at a fixed time to ensure better efficacy. Do not consume more than the recommended dose, as this may have harmful effects on your body. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. The course of the treatment must be completed even if you feel better. Sudden discontinuation of the treatment may affect the potency of the medicine.
Ampilox 250mg/250mg Captab is a combination of two antibiotics: Ampicillin and Dicloxacillin. These antibiotics work by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Together, they treat your infection effectively.
In healthy adult humans are 28% of ampicillin and 38% of sulbactam protein bound. The colume of distribution of ampicillin/sulbactam is 0.22±0.04 and 0.30±0.12 L/kg, respectively. Both drugs have a plasma elimination t1/2 of approximately 1 hour, and >60% is primarily excreted unchanged by the kidneys in both cases.

AMPICILLIN+DICLOXACILLIN may have interaction with antibiotics (chloramphenicol, doxycycline), anticoagulants (warfarin), pain killer (aspirin), vaccines (live cholera vaccine), Anti-hypertensives (atenolol), anti-cancer (methotrexate).

If you miss a dose of Ampilox 250mg/250mg Captab, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
