Using of this medicine may cause application site reactions (burning, irritation, itching, and redness). These are temporary and usually resolves on with time. You should consult your doctor if any of these do not resolve with time and persists for a longer duration.
Avoid getting it into your eyes, nose or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, wash your eyes with water and seek immediate medical attention. You should stop using it and inform your doctor if you notice worsening of the infection or if you develop increased redness and irritation.
CALCIUM DOBESILATE+HYDROCORTISONE+LIGNOCAINE+ZINC belongs to a class of medications called anorectal preparations primarily used in the treatment of haemorrhoids (piles). It helps in relieving itching, pain, swelling and discomfort caused by piles and other problems in the anal area.
Lignocaine is eliminated primarily by hepatic metabolism, which appears to be limited by liver perfusion. Active metabolites may contribute to therapeutic and/or toxic effects. Disease states such as cardiac failure or drugs that alter hepatic blood flow may significantly affect lignocaine clearance.
CALCIUM DOBESILATE contains 'Calcium Dobesilate' that improves blood flow in veins (a type of blood vessel) by decreasing the thickness of blood and also relaxes the muscles of affected part of the body(legs, feet, anus, eyes) by reducing the leakage and fragility of blood vessels.
After IV administration, hydrocortisone was eliminated with a total body clearance of 18 L/hr and a half-life of 1.7 hr. The volume of distribution was 34 L. Oral bioavailability averaged 96%. Absorption was rapid, achieving maximum hydrocortisone levels of 300 ng/mL after 1 hour.
