Basic Information

Mechanism Of Action

Anefol XT Injection prevents and treats anemia by improving the level of iron in the body. This helps reduce symptoms such as tiredness, weakness, reduced concentration, pale or yellow skin, brittle nails, dry hair, etc.

Pharmacokinets

Fe II Salt of iron, oral iron formulation ,antianaemic, heamatinic. Addition of ascorbic acid converts the ferric form to ferrous form thus making it absorbable from duodenum and upper jejunum, resulting in considerable enhancement of the absorption of iron.

The pharmacokinetic profile of plasma FA after oral administration indicated an absorption rate-limited elimination, i.e., so called 'flip-flop' phenomenon. The bioavailability of FA was quite low after a high oral dose (F = 0.01), in contrast to a high value after intramuscular administration (F = 0.95).
