Basic Information

Mechanism Of Action

Nimesulide and Paracetamol are pain killers and can also reduce fever and inflammation. They act by blocking the action of chemical messengers that are responsible for pain, fever, and inflammation. Serratiopeptidase is an enzyme that can reduce swelling and promote the healing of the damaged tissue.

Pharmacokinets

Nimesulide is rapidly distributed and has an apparent volume of distribution ranging between 0.18 and 0.39 L/kg. It is extensively bound to albumin; the unbound fraction in plasma was 1%. The unbound fraction increased to 2 and 4% in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency.

It distributes rapidly and evenly throughout most tissues and fluids and has a volume of distribution of approximately 0.9L/kg. 10 to 20% of the drug is bound to red blood cells. Paracetamol is extensively metabolised (predominantly in the liver), the major metabolites being the sulphate and glucuronide conjugates.

Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme prescribed in various specialities like surgery, orthopaedics, otorhinolaryngology, gynaecology and dentistry for its anti-inflammatory, anti-edemic and analgesic effects.
