Anovate Cream must be used as per doctor's prescription. It is for external use only. Anovate cream works by the combined action of its three constituents, Beclomethasone, Phenylephrine and Lidocaine. Beclomethasone is a steroid that acts by blocking the synthesis of natural substances, i.e. prostaglandins which is responsible for itching, swelling and redness.
Phenylephrine is readily and completely absorbed from the gastro-intestinal tract after oral administration. It is subject to extensive presystemic metabolism in the gut wall and therefore has a systemic bioavailability of approximately 40% relative to intravenous dosing.
Pharmacokinetics: Rapidly absorbed from pulmonary, nasal, and GI tissue. Undergoes extensive first-pass metabolism in the liver. Protein binding: 87%. Primarily eliminated in feces.
Lignocaine is eliminated primarily by hepatic metabolism, which appears to be limited by liver perfusion. Active metabolites may contribute to therapeutic and/or toxic effects. Disease states such as cardiac failure or drugs that alter hepatic blood flow may significantly affect lignocaine clearance.

Do not use BECLOMETASONE+PHENYLEPHRINE+LIDOCAINE if you had a skin reaction or irritation to any steroid medicine.
