Answell 400 mg/325 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Ibuprofen and Paracetamol. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and inflammation (redness and swelling)

Pharmacokinets

Ibuprofen is rapidly absorbed after oral administration, with peak serum or plasma levels generally attained within one and a half to 2 hours. The drug is more than 99 per- cent bound to plasma protein,Paracetamol is readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract with peak plasma concentrations occurring about 30 minutes to 2 hours after ingestion. It is metabolised in the liver (90-95%) and excreted in the urine mainly as the glucuronide and sulphate conjugates. Less than 5% is excreted as unchanged paracetamol.

Interactions

Other medicines containing paracetamol must not be consumed while taking Answell Tablet as there is an increased risk of liver damage. Some medicines affect the way Answell Tablet works or Answell Tablet itself reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
