Anxico 0.25 MG Tablet is used to treat anxiety and panic disorders like unexpected extreme fear and tension due to stress. It is recommended to start with a small dosage and increase it gradually. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly as it may cause withdrawal symptoms like seizures, aggressive behavior, blurred vision, etc.
Alprazolam is 80% bound to serum protein, mainly albumin. Alprazolam is metabolized in the liver by cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) to 4-hydroxyalprazolam and alpha-hydroxyalprazolam metabolites. Alprazolam and its metabolites are filtered out by the kidneys and excreted in the urine.
Alprazolam has a mean plasma elimination half-life of 11.2 hours in healthy patients (range 6.3-26.9 hours). The mean half-life is 16.3 hours (range 9.0-26.9 hours) in the elderly, 21.8 hours (range 9.9-40.4 hours) in obese patients, and 19.7 hours (range 5.8-65.3 hours) in patients with alcoholic liver disease.

If you miss a dose of Anxico 0.25 MG Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
