Tobramycin is an antibacterial drug. It inhibits the growth of bacteria by inhibiting protein synthesis. Tobramycin is included in this combination product to provide action against susceptible bacteria.
Pharmacokinetics: According to the manufacturer's labeling, the pharmacokinetics of oral dexamethasone is dose-proportional between the dose range of 0.5 to 40 mg. Absorption: Dexamethasone median time to peak concentrations (Tmax) is 1 hour (range: 0.5 to 4 hours).
Regardless of the dose, tobramycin accumulated in the tissues of all patients receiving this antibiotic. The two-compartment pharmacokinetic model explains both the rising peak and trough concentrations during treatment and the detection of the drug in serum and urine long after the last dose.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
