Ophthalmic ofloxacin ophthalmic is used to treat bacterial infections of the eye, including conjunctivitis (pink eye) and ulcers of the cornea. Ofloxacin is in a class of medications called quinolone antibiotics. It works by killing bacterial cells that cause infection.
The pharmacokinetics of ofloxacin are characterised by almost complete bioavailability (95 to 100%), peak serum concentrations in the range of 2 to 3 mg/L after a 400mg oral dose and an average half-life of 5 to 8h.
In humans, the pharmacokinetics of prednisolone is complex. After oral intake, it exhibits rapid absorption and becomes almost completely (80%-100%) available. Peak plasma concentrations reach 1 to 2 hours after oral administration.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
