Arkamin Tablet is also used to prevent migraines and hot flushes in women during menopause. This medicine can be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at the same time every day. You should always take this medicine as advised by the doctor and should never stop it without consulting the doctor. Most people with high blood pressure do not feel ill, but if you stop taking this medicine, your condition could get worse. This may lead to your blood pressure rising up again and increase your risk of heart disease and stroke. You should monitor your blood pressure regularly while taking this medicine.
Arkamin Tablet is an alpha-2 agonist. It works by relaxing blood vessels which makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body.
The pharmacokinetics of clonidine is dose-proportional in the range of 100 to 600 µg. The absolute bioavailability of clonidine on oral administration is 70% to 80%. Peak plasma clonidine levels are attained in approximately 1 to 3 hours.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Arkamin Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Clonidine is an antihypertensive drug that lowers blood pressure and heart rate by relaxing the arteries and increasing the blood supply to the heart; it has the following FDA-approved indications: Hypertension, as mentioned above; pediatric use for hypertension is off-label.

If you miss a dose of Arkamin Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

No, you should avoid taking alcohol during treatment with Arkamin Tablet. The use of alcohol while taking Arkamin Tablet may worsen the side effects and may make you feel more drowsy.

Taking more than prescribed Arkamin Tablet can be dangerous and may even be life threatening. In overdose, it can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure and heart rate. If someone has taken too much of Arkamin Tablet, rush them to the nearest emergency room or hospital.

Yes, the use of Arkamin Tablet can make you feel dizzy. This may occur when you suddenly get up from lying or sitting position. To lower your chances of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
