Arkasip 1.4gm Syrup is a urine alkalizer. It works by increasing the pH of urine which makes it less acidic. This helps the kidneys get rid of excess uric acid, thereby preventing gout and certain types of kidney stones.
Disodium hydrogen citrate is metabolised to bicarbonate, which then increases urinary pH by increasing the excretion of free bicarbonate ions, thereby increasing the solubility of cystine in the urine and the ionization of uric acid to more soluble urate ion. Onset: <1 min. Duration: 4-6 hr.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
