Basic Information

Mechanism Of Action

DICLOFENAC+PARACETAMOL+SERRATIOPEPTIDASE is a combination of three drugs, namely: Diclofenac, Paracetamol and Serratiopeptidase. Diclofenac and Paracetamol work by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger, known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make other chemical prostaglandins (PG).

Pharmacokinets

Diclofenac binds extensively to plasma albumin. The area under the plasma concentration-time curve (AUC) of diclofenac is proportional to the dose for oral doses between 25 to 150 mg. Substantial concentrations of drug are attained in synovial fluid, which is the proposed site of action for NSAIDs.

It distributes rapidly and evenly throughout most tissues and fluids and has a volume of distribution of approximately 0.9L/kg. 10 to 20% of the drug is bound to red blood cells. Paracetamol is extensively metabolised (predominantly in the liver), the major metabolites being the sulphate and glucuronide conjugates.

The exact molecular mechanism of serratiopeptidase is not known completely but research findings have demonstrated that enzyme possesses the unique ability to dissolve the dead and damaged tissue that is a by-product of the healing response without harming living tissues
