The precise mechanism of action of doxofylline to explain this corticosteroid sparing effect remains unknown but it is unlikely to be via an HDAC mediated mechanism. Doxofylline is also able to exert prophylactic effects against bronchoconstriction induced by PAF29 and methacholine in experimental animals.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
