The most common side effects of this medicine are heartburn or upset stomach, nausea, and vomiting. This medicine may sometimes cause you to bleed more easily (for example you may get nosebleeds or bruises).
Before taking it, you should let your doctor know if you have ever had a prolonged problem when your blood did not clot properly or if you have had an ulcer or bleeding in your stomach or intestine. Aspirin 50mg Tablet DR is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with anti-platelet action. It works by preventing platelets from sticking together which decreases the formation of harmful blood clots. This lowers the chance of heart attack or stroke.
Aspirin is rapidly absorbed in the upper gastrointestinal (GI) tract and results in a measurable inhibition of platelet function within 60 minutes. This antiplatelet effect is associated with prolongation of the bleeding time and inhibition of TXA2-dependent platelet aggregation.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
