Basic Information

Mechanism Of Action

Asthalin Syrup 100 ml is a bronchodilator which contains Salbutamol. It helps treat respiratory problems like asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and chronic bronchitis. It works by relaxing and widening the lungs' airway, making it easier to breathe, especially in asthma and COPD patients.

Pharmacokinets

Salbutamol is metabolised almost exclusively by the liver, being converted to salbutamol 4'-O-sulfate. This is then excreted through urination and defecation. After oral inhalation, 80—100% of a dose is excreted via the kidney, whilst 10% may be eliminated in faeces.
