Asthelite 2 mg/100 mg Tablet is taken without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, restlessness, headache, tremor, muscle cramp, and palpitations. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. It may cause dizziness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your dizziness.
Asthelite 2 mg/100 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Salbutamol and theophylline. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens the airways. This makes breathing easier.
The pharmacokinetics of salbutamol in dogs and cats have not been studied. In humans, when administered by inhalation, salbutamol produces significant bronchodilation within 15 min that lasts for 3–4 h. It is also generally well absorbed orally and may have broncho- dilatory effects for up to 8 h.Theophylline distributes rapidly into fat-free tissues and body water. 40% is bound to plasma proteins, primarily to albumin, although blood pH values, the plasma protein content and the administration of concomitant drugs may vary this fraction.

Intrauterine foetal death

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Asthelite 2 mg/100 mg Tablet.
Asthelite 2 mg/100 mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Avoiding breastfeeding for 2-4 hours after Asthelite 2 mg/100 mg Tablet can further decrease the exposure of medicine to the baby.

Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Asthelite 2 mg/100 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

You have been prescribed Asthelite 2 mg/100 mg Tablet for the treatment of asthma.
It should be taken at the same time each day, preferably in the evening after food.
It does not work right away and should not be used to relieve sudden breathing problems. Always keep a fast-acting (rescue) inhaler with you.
Your doctor may get regular blood tests done to make sure that you are taking the right dose.

Avoid Asthelite 2 mg/100 mg Tablet with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.

No, do not stop taking Asthelite 2 mg/100 mg Tablet. If you stop taking Asthelite 2 mg/100 mg Tablet, your symptoms may come back and may lead to serious complications. Take your medicine as advised by your doctor.

No, taking a higher than the recommended dose may not be more effective, rather it may increase the chances of having serious side effects and toxicity. If the recommended dosage does not relieve your symptoms or there is an increased severity of your symptoms, please consult your doctor.
