Asthelite 2 mg/100 mg Tablet is taken without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, restlessness, headache, tremor, muscle cramp, and palpitations. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. It may cause dizziness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your dizziness.

Asthelite 2 mg/100 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Salbutamol and theophylline. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens the airways. This makes breathing easier.


Pharmacokinets

The pharmacokinetics of salbutamol in dogs and cats have not been studied. In humans, when administered by inhalation, salbutamol produces significant bronchodilation within 15 min that lasts for 3–4 h. It is also generally well absorbed orally and may have broncho- dilatory effects for up to 8 h.Theophylline distributes rapidly into fat-free tissues and body water. 40% is bound to plasma proteins, primarily to albumin, although blood pH values, the plasma protein content and the administration of concomitant drugs may vary this fraction.
