Augxetil CV 500 Tablet is a prescription medicine. It is advised to take it as per the prescription. It can be taken with or without food, but it must be taken at a fixed time to ensure better efficacy. Do not consume more than the recommended dose, as this may have harmful effects on your body. Cefuroxime works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for their survival. Thereby, kills the bacteria. Clavulanic acid works by decreasing bacterial resistance and enhancing the activity of cefuroxime against the bacteria.
The pharmacokinetics of cefuroxime and amoxycillin were very similar, peak levels of about 6.4 mg/l being found between 2 and 2.5 h after administration. The peak serum level of clavulanic acid was 4.3 mg/l at 1.25 h after administration. The serum half-lives were about 1.1 h for all three agents.

Augxetil CV 500 Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Consuming alcohol with Augxetil CV 500 Tablet does not cause any harmful side effects.
Augxetil CV 500 Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.

If you miss a dose of Augxetil CV 500 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
