Avessa 125 Inhaler is a combination of two medicines: Formoterol and Fluticasone Propionate. Formoterol is a long-acting bronchodilator which works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens the airways. Fluticasone Propionate is a steroid.
Formoterol is an inhaled beta2-agonist used in the management of COPD and asthma that was first approved for use in the United States in 2001. It acts on bronchial smooth muscle to dilate and relax airways, and is administered as a racemic mixture of its active (R;R)- and inactive (S;S)-enantiomers.
For inhaled fluticasone propionate (FP), oral bioavailability is negligible due both to low absorption from the gastrointestinal tract and high hepatic first-pass metabolism [6]. Therefore, any systemic effects of this drug arise from lung absorption.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
