Azofen 1mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take it in the exact dose and duration as advised by your doctor. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. Take it for as long as it is prescribed to you. Do not miss any doses, in case you missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it.The most common side effects of this medicine include hyperactivity, irritability, and sleep disturbance. Let your doctor know if you experience these symptoms but they are usually temporary. Do not drive, use machinery, or do any activity that attention as medicine may cause dizziness. Consult your doctor if your condition does not improve or if the side effects bother you.
The Azofen 1mg Tablet works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that may cause inflammation, spasm of muscles of the airways and other symptoms of asthma and allergies.
The terminal elimination half-life of ketotifen varied between subjects from 7 to 27 hours with a mean of about 12 h. The minor pharmacokinetic difference between dosage forms observed in this study is unlikely to be of clinical significance.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Azofen 1mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Azofen 1mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Ketotifen is a type of asthma medication which, when taken every day and used along with other antiasthma medications, may reduce the frequency, severity, and duration of asthma symptoms or attacks in children. It may also lead to a reduction in daily requirements of other antiasthma medications.
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Azofen Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Azofen Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:
Anti-anxiety drugs
Codeine
Diabetes oral drugs
Diphenhydramine
Muscle relaxants
Psychiatric medicines
Sleeping pills
Do not chew, crush or break it. Azofen 1mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose ofAzofen 1mg Tablet take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
