If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor as it may increase seizure frequency.
BENJ 2MG TABLET works by increasing levels of the chemical mediator which calms brain cells (neurons), known as gamma-amino-butyric-acid (GABA), which helps to relieve anxiety, stop seizures attacks (fits) and relaxation of the tense muscles.
The clinical pharmacokinetics of lorazepam, a 3-hydroxy, 1,4-benzodiazepine, indicate that it is rapidly and readily absorbed, reaching peak concentrations in the blood proportional to the dose approximately 2 hours after oral administration.
