Berzin 8mg Tablet is a histamine analog. It works by improving the blood flow in the inner ear which reduces the pressure of excess fluid there. Excess fluid can send signals to the brain causing nausea, dizziness or spinning sensations (symptoms of Ménière's disease).

Pharmacokinetics. Betahistine comes in both a tablet form as well as an oral solution, and is taken orally. It is rapidly and completely absorbed. The mean plasma elimination half-life is 3 to 4 hours, and excretion is virtually complete in the urine within 24 hours.

Indications

Betahistine is indicated for the treatment of vertigo, tinnitus, hearing loss and nausea associated with Ménière's syndrome. Initial oral treatment is 8 mg to 16 mg three times daily, taken with food. Maintenance doses are generally in the range 24 – 48 mg daily.

 Do not chew, crush or break it. Berzin 8mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
